Across The River

That team from across the river is coming to town! Please attend to show your support for the Revs and send those Barnstormers home with a loss! Tonight is Silver Sluggers Presented by Wellspan Sports Medicine and Eastern York School District Night. It is also the first Shurfine Baseball Bingo night of the season. Is there a Bingo space for a cannon blast?

Series #1 (April 24th – April 27th)

The York Revolution started the 2014 season in winning fashion. On Opening Day, over 5,000 fans saw the home team tally a victory of 6 to 1, over the visiting Camden Riversharks. The first homerun of the season was registered. Rain caused the postponement of the scheduled game for Friday, April 25th as was rescheduled as a doubleheader on Sunday, April 27th. More on this game later. Saturday resulted in another victory for the York Revolution. The final score was 6 to 5. No homeruns for this game, but all the fans in attendance did get to see the first inside the park fireworks show before the end of the evening. This homestand concluded on Sunday with a doubleheader. Both games ended in victory for the Revs. The score of game #1 was 3 to 2 with zero homeruns. The score of the second game was 5 to 3, with zero homeruns. The total blasts for this 2014 opening series was eight. The Revs are back in action on Tuesday, April 29th at 6:30pm as the team from across the river comes to down to kick off the 2014 War of the Roses series. I’ll see you at the ballpark.

A ton of family fun events are planned for today!

It is Rookie Rugby Day; Boomer’s Book Club Redemption Day Presented by York College; Pre-Game Autographs & Catch on the Field; Post-Game Kids Run the Bases Presented by Logos Academy and York Country Day School Night. Let’s end the opening series of 2014 the right way with lots of cannon blasts and a victory!

What a Night

Tonight is Soccer Night presented by Sara Lee. I wonder how far a soccer ball would travel after being discharged out of a cannon? Also, tonight is Spring Grove Area School District Night! To top off the evening, the season’s first inside the park fireworks show will begin after the game!
