Third Homestand

The third homestand began on Tuesday, May 6th when the York Revolution welcomed the Bridgeport Bluefish to town. This series did not start the way the Revs would have liked. The opening game of this three game set was a loss by a score of 4 – 0. The second game of the series ended in another loss with a score of 8 – 2. After the two back-to-back losses, an early wake-up call might have been what was needed for the Revs to earn their first victory of this series by a score of 8 to 1. After Bridgeport left Santander Stadium the Revs welcomed the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs to town for the first time this season. The opening game saw another Revs victory and another homerun. The final score of this first game against the Blue Crabs was 5 to 4. The Revolution looked to continue their winning ways for the remainder of the series. The middle game of this three game set saw a tough loss as the Revs came up two runs short as the final score was 7 to 5. In the series and homestand finale, the Revs couldn’t come up with a victory. The final score of this third game was 8 to 4. The York Revolution earned a total of two victories over this six game of homestand. The total blasts for this third series of the 2014 was eleven which included three homeruns! The Revs are back in action on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at 6:30pm as the team from across the river comes to town to continue the War of the Roses.
